Kokua Council: An hour with the Honolulu mayoral candidates
by Larry Geller
I think we had a pretty good meeting today – an hour with the mayoral candidates. They spoke at the monthly meeting of Kokua Council at Harris United Methodist Church at noon.
Both candidates—Kirk Caldwell and Gov. Ben Cayetano—addressed a variety of topics without the limitations that a debate format would have imposed. Short highlights will be in the news tonight and tomorrow. For audio from the meeting, see September 24 Meeting: An hour with Honolulu mayoral candidates (Kokua Council, 9/24/2012).
One of the early topics was road repairs. The universe chimed in as noisy roadwork began right outside the church. So the audio is a bit noisy in spots, but it’s still understandable. Click over and check it out.
