No rush of candidates for Ethics, Campaign Spending commissions

Since the Judiciary Council has extended its deadline for applications to these two commissions, I think it’s safe to assume that they are not facing as large a pile of candidates they consider qualified as they would have hoped…
The Judicial Council is extending the deadline in its search to find qualified applicants to serve on the Hawai`i State Ethics Commission and on the Campaign Spending Commission. The deadline for applications has now been extended by one month to March 29, 2012.

… isn’t there anyone into ethics in this state??
Actually, both are challenging and relatively unrewarding jobs, and of course, they don’t draw any pay.
Still, wouldn’t it be great if some Disappeared News readers got on these commissions? Check out the website and go for it. Somebody. Please.
