Documents filed in federal court today granted the US Department of Justice a continuance in the Global Horizons human trafficking case, described by the DOJ as the largest such case in US history.

The case was to go to trial on February, 2012, but the DOJ requested a continuance due to the complexity of segregating documents that are protected by attorney-client privilege. The court approved a six month delay, setting a new date of August 8, 2012.

Since many in Hawaii, the Mainland and even Thailand are following this case, I’m posting the latest two documents for completion.  You can skim these if you wish to learn about the 72 hard drives, how the DOJ has assembled a team separate from the prosecutors themselves to review the material for attorney-client privilege, and the timetable that the court wishes to enforce.
