Tap into or join the Mid-East conversation bilingually at Meedan
by Larry Geller
The US State Department has just begun to tweet in Arabic, according to this AP story.
Sadly, most of the tweets I see are in English, which means I’m out of touch..
More reason to visit Meedan, a website I’ve mentioned before. They are the place to be to join in the conversation bilingually.
The way it works is that comments and links are translated first by computer, then touched-up by human translators.
It works.
Even if you aren’t inclined to wade in and comment yourself, or to recommend links, it is a way to sample the debate going on that we never hear reported.
Check it out.

Requiring those Captcha codes at least temporarily, in the hopes that it quells the flood of comment spam I've been receiving.
