Hawaii among states filing amicus briefs in support of Obama health care law

Hawaii is mentioned among a group of states opposing a judge’s ruling that the mandatory purchase requirement of the new healthcare law is unconstitutional.
In December, U.S. District Court Judge Henry E. Hudson struck down the individual mandate and all “directly dependent provisions” while upholding the rest of the reform law.
Hudson, an appointee of George W. Bush, ruled that “despite the laudable intentions of Congress in enacting a comprehensive and transformative health care regime, the legislative process must operate within constitutional bounds.”

Oregon, Iowa, New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland and Delaware joined California in filing the brief supporting the law.[The Bay Citizen, Kamala Harris Joins Legal Fray on Health Care, 1/21/2011]
As the Huffington Post and other sources have noted, Judge Hudson is an owner of a Republican consulting firm one of whose clients is Ken Cuccinelli, the Virginia attorney general who filed the suit challenging the law. From the HP article:
The president of the firm, Becki Donatelli, is the wife of longtime GOP hand Frank Donatelli, and is an adviser toformer Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, among others.
Another firm client is Ken Cuccinelli, the Attorney General of Virginia and the man who is bringing the lawsuit in front of Hudson's court. In 2010, records show, Cuccinelli spent nearly $9,000 for Campaign Solutions services.
Conflict of interest?, these Republican's aren't embarrassed at this because they have no shame. This personality defect is required to be a modern day Republican.
