KHON revisits Chinatown for a one-year ratrospective
by Larry Geller
The first half of KHON’s revisit of the Chinatown rat revelations appeared on their 10 p.m. news last night. The second half will air tonight (Friday) at 10 p.m.
Last night’s story is here. A video clip from last night’s program is posted on that page. Check it out.
KHON reporter Andrew Pereira and I returned to the scene at Chinatown’s Kekaulike market to see what has changed since my original Thanksgiving 2009 rat video. Taken through a glass window, the video revealed dozens of rats cavorting among the produce. That was a year ago. During the KHON visit: no rats in sight. But there is still work to be done, as you’ll see.
I’ll write more tomorrow after the KHON spot airs, I don’t want to steal their thunder. Meanwhile, check the above link for last night’s coverage.
