Flash: Report that grand jury indicts Aloun Farms brothers on additional charges

A Honolulu grand jury is reported today to have indicted Aloun Farms brothers Alec Sou and Mike Sou on charges in addition to those they already face in their pending human trafficking trial. Details should be available in papers filed electronically tomorrow (Thursday).
Last month Judge Susan Oki Mollway threw out the Sous’ plea agreement and so their not guilty plea was restored. Had the plea agreement remained in force, it is likely that they would have faced only limited jail time. With new charges, should they be found guilty, they could be facing significantly more time.
Confirmation of the new charges will have to await the posting of the grand jury papers to the federal court’s electronic filing system.
