Peer News’ John Temple on Bytemarks Cafe Wednesday
by Larry Geller
Tune in to Bytemarks Cafe on KIPO tomorrow, Wednesday, 5-6 p.m. on 89.3 FM or streaming from hawaiipublicradio.org.
Guests will be John Temple of Civil Beat and Ryan Kanno (website guy).
Bytemarks Cafe is a technical program but not geeky. They’ve been the first and best opportunity for listeners to discuss the tech issues that affect all of us.
So I expect that tomorrow’s program will be tech-centric, but still, it will be hard to avoid talking about Peer News itself and its objectives and plans. And costs, since how to pay for web content is a perennial hot topic.
By tomorrow we all should have more experience of the site, and if the moderators and discussants have not beaten each other to a pulp by then (where else can you pay a buck for the privilege of entering into a refereed argument?), there may be some good questions needing answers.
Anyone can listen and call in at 941-3689 or 1 877 941-3689. Give the guys some time to get to their guests, which should occur at about 5:30 plus or minus.
Oh, listening and calling are free. Had to add that.
