WASC accreditation risk questioned
by Larry Geller
Attorney Eric Seitz raised the problem of loss of WASC accreditation due to insufficient school days in the year in his complaint to the federal court (see: Hawaii’s Furlough Fridays may deny its graduates college admission), but it appears that the WASC may not require a minimum number of days.
Forbes reported the same thing and was chastised on their website by a commenter.
Check the article linked above for an update and credit to AP reporter Mark Niesse for questioning Seitz’ assertion. It’s too late in the day to get anyone at WASC, so I will try for that tomorrow.
