Workman's comp veto overridden
by Larry Geller
The House just overrode Lingle's veto of SB695:
Requires the employer to continue medical services to an injured employee despite disputes over whether treatment should be continued, until the director of labor and industrial relations decides whether treatment should be continued. Effective July 1, 2009.
Workman's comp disputes are common and add injury to injury. This new law should help end some of the disputes and help workers get the treatment they need.
