Star-Bulletin spotlights Henry Curtis and Life of the Land
by Larry Geller
The Star-Bulletin continues to surprise even as the Advertiser moves more to the extreme right. Here’s a Star-Bulletin article about Henry Curtis that is very timely and very populist. Henry has been the only one over the years to consistently intervene in energy issues on behalf of the public interest. IMHO, Henry and Life of the Land are valuable and sadly almost unique assets in this over-developed and over-exploited state.
Enough from me. Check out the article over at the Star-Bulletin.
Comments:
Henry Curtis and Life of the Land is one of the hardest working environmental advocates I know. When other enviro orgs are concentrating on the latest sexy legislature bill, Henry is slugging it out with the PUC making sure our nuts-and-bolts regulations are weighted in favor of the environment and clean energy. He (and Kat) deserve several medals for what they do for all of Hawaii, and it STILL wouldn't be enough.
