Security “center of excellence” opens just where they need it most, at UH
by Larry Geller
Gee, I missed this opening:
HONOLULU – A new U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) center of excellence will officially open at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa (UH Manoa). The opening ceremony for the National Center for Island, Maritime and Extreme Environment Security (CIMES) is set for Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the Keoni Auditorium, Hawaii Imin International Conference Center at the East-West Center. [UH News, 9/29/2008]
Maybe, with all the CIA, NSA, FBI and other spooks hanging around this new “center of excellence” at UH, it will become possible to park a moped and be sure it won’t be stolen as soon as you turn your back on it.
Or maybe the security guards right next door won't get robbed!
