A better Palin
by Larry Geller
The Chicago Tribune has a fun quiz. Try it:
See how you do. I’ll reveal my own score later.
So what about McCain just hidin’ Palin away somewhere for the duration and letting Fey carry the ticket? It’s would be better for McCain (not that I care) than what’s reported to be happening: See Sarah Palin: 'Rogue... diva... elephant?'
The suggestion is tongue-in-cheek, of course, but I think the situation, if accurately reported, indicates that McCain might not be the best “decider,” assuming selecting Palin was his idea anyway. Or is Palin exactly what he needed? I have no idea. I’m not a Republican, what would I know.
Of course, we’ll see in a couple of weeks how this plays out. Instead of assuring her place on the national stage in 2012, we just might not have Palin to kick around any more. Or, we might. . .
