Second program on alleged Superferry defects to air today on KKCR

by Larry Geller

Today (Tuesday) KKCR's Kauai Soapbox program will analyze last Thursday's discussion on the Superferry.

If you can't pick up the wave (91.9, 90.9 or 92.7 FM), visit kkcr.org for streaming audio. The program, hosted by Scott Mijares and Keone Kealoha, will air at 4:00 p.m.

In case you haven't heard Thursday's program yet, just click here. It should play without too much waiting.

On Thursday's program, hosts Katy Rose and Jimmy Trujillo interviewed employees/former employees of Austal, the manufacturer of the Hawaii Superferry.

You'll want to hear allegations of cracks during manufacture and more.

Last Thursday's interview is sure to be controversial. Some sparks have flown already on the web. Now that the audio is available on several websites perhaps it will break into the mainstream press. It goes without saying that the claims ought to be substantiated or corroborated (or disproved). But here they are, out in the open.

Awesome that this article comes out today, as we contemplate the validity of allegations about the Superferry construction!

Nice job with the audio file.

Aloha, Brad
