Non-violence training on Maui tonight
I know Joshua Cooper, who will lead the non-violence training described below. He's one of our state's outstanding peace researchers. The training should be very useful, and also a chance to meet Joshua if you don't know him. Highly recommended if you're on Maui.
This is a forward of a circulating email:
The first of a series of Nonviolence Training for people protesting the Superferry will be held in the shade under solar panel Hale at Maui Community College, Dec. 4, at 5:15 p.m. If there is rain, we will move to one of the Hale (House Classrooms).
Joshua Cooper, Director of the Hawaii Institute for Human Rights will lead the NV training. Prior to the training at 5 p.m. there will also be a declaration of individuals and organizations that participated in the Maui Social Forum 2007, not representing or speaking for the forum as an entity in their declaration, but representing themselves in declaring their own aspirations, intentions, and vision for a better Maui and World. The Maui Social Forum 2007 is being held on Monday, Dec. 3 from 12 noon to 9 p.m. at Maui Community College, at the Hale classrooms. See the Maui Social Forum website for more information at:
